Batman: Arkham Knight Campaign for Disarment

October 31, 2016

If you been listening to the show, you know that I (Joe) have been playing Rockstar’s Batman Arkham Knight again to finish up some of the side missions, specifically the Arkham Knight Campaign for Disarment quests.  I never completed the first time through. I play most games because of story lines, so my favorite type of games are RPGs or games that I feel is more cinematic then just run and gun to accomplish a goal.  I play because I want to know how the story ends, not to compete for some flag or move a group of soldiers to a camp site (or whatever).

The Arkham Series (Batman games) by Rockstar (Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight) played very well like movies with interraction from the gamer to get to the next area to get more story line.  I have completed the story line and am about to get the ending, but was informed that to get a true ending I need to do all the side missions.  So I never finished the game, and am now trying to clean up the little stuff I missed.

I still have a fair amount of  ?’s to get for the Riddler side mission and have decided that this will probably be the last one I do.  I completed all the other secondary villian mission’s with the exception of the Batmobile Bomb disarming thingies (Campaign For Disarmament). I have 2 left on my list and both are on Founder’s Island located in Drescher and the other in Port Adams.

Again, if you listened to the show, I have been playing to disarm the Drescher bomb so much that I have caused pain to shoot from my thumb pad area down my arm toward my elbow.  Because of this crazy injury, I have put down the controller and have been patiently waiting for the pain to subside before I pick up and try again.

I feel that as of today, my hand is now battle ready and I am ready to finally finish this game.  In a few short hours, I will pick up the controller once agian and establish dominance over the Villians in Gotham/Arkham and bring this mission to it’s end. Hopefully, I can do it and you can hear my success story on the next Episode of the 8BitBros podcast.

What do you think about this game? What were some of your challenges? Comment Below.
