Netflix has officially renewed their original badass female series Marvel’s Jessica Jones for a third season! Season two of the hit series launched globally on the streaming site on March 8, 2018. If you haven’t watched them yet you can go and get your binge on now!
In the second season, of the Netflix original our favorite New York City private investigator Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) is beginning to put her life back together after murdering her tormenter, Kilgrave. Now known throughout the city as the super-powered killer, a new case makes her reluctantly confront who she really is while digging deeper into her past and exploring why she is the way she is. This season also dove deeper into Rachael Taylor’s (Trish Walker) character bring more of her backstory and her drive to become super like Jessica. We should definitely see more of this in the now confirmed season 3 as we saw a glimpse of what her powers might be in the final scenes of Season 2.
Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones) is joined by a returning cast that includes Rachael Taylor (Trish Walker), Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth), Eka Darville (Malcolm Ducasse) and new cast members Janet McTeer (Alisa Jones) Jessica’s Mother and J.R. Ramirez (Oscar Arocho), among others.
Marvel’s Jessica Jones on Netflix is Executive Produced by series Showrunner Melissa Rosenberg (Twilight, Dexter), Raelle Tucker (True Blood), Jim Chory (Marvel’s Daredevil, Marvel’s Luke Cage, Marvel’s Iron Fist) and Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s Daredevil, Marvel’s Luke Cage, Marvel’s Iron Fist) who also serves as Marvel’s Head of Television.
The first season of, Marvel’s Jessica Jones was the recipient of a prestigious Peabody Award.
The almost completes the renewing of the Netflix Original Marvel series with Marvel’s Nick Cage dropping this summer on June 22nd. If it’s as much of a hit as Season one was, it will no doubt be renewed for a third season.
